As Ege University Faculty of Fisheries, we have successfully carried out another marine application expedition. During this field training on our research vessel R/V EGESÜF, our students had the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge at sea; they experienced many subjects from sampling techniques to data collection tools. We believe that academic education is shaped not only in the classroom, but also in nature and especially on the water. This experience was one of the most beautiful reflections of our student-centred and practice-based teaching approach.
