Marine Fish Culture: In this program, sea bass and sea bream larval culture, growing of these species in sea cage and natural resource until marketable size are carried out in Urla Dr. H. Okan KAMACI Aquaculture Research and Application Unit. Thus, training activities and also some R&D studies are conducted. Also, studies on shrimp culture from larval stage are maintained. Inland Water Fish Culture: In this program, R&D studies and culture of some fresh water species such as rainbow trout, carp, tilapia are investigated. bass and sea bream larval culture, growing of these species in sea cage and natural resource until marketable size are carried out. Fish feeding and Feed Technology: In this program, studies on the structure of fish feed, analytical methods, feeding and ratio preparation, and feed production technologies are carried out. Plankton Culture: In this program, life cycles optimal culture conditions, and algal biotechnological efforts on phytoplankton and zooplankton (Brachionus plicatilis, Artemia sp., Daphnia sp) which are essential for feeding of larval fish are studied. Fishery Economy: In this program, aquaculture industry, fishery and aquaculture economy are investigated at micro and macro level. Some lectures and studies on business management, planning and marketing are carried out.
