Due to the consideration of the latest information on the Coronavirus outbreak, FABA 2020 have made the unavoidable decision to postpone the FABA 2020 Congress, due to take place 15-17 September 2021 in Izmir, Turkey.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is with great regret that FABA 2020 Secretariat have decided to postpone the Congress to realize in 2021.
This decision was based on critical elements such as the complete ban by the Turkish Authorities on events of limits in size, on top of travel limitations from and to most countries, based on the Pandemic declaration and recommendations made by Turkish Ministry of Health.
We are conscious of all the work done by many preparing for this congress, we share everyone’s disappointment and apologies for the inconvenience this will cause. But be sure that FABA 2020 Secretariat is not Cancelling the organization this declaration is just the post pone the organization.
Participants will be contacted by the FABA 2020 office over the next few days regarding their registrations and paybacks.
Although the effect of the epidemic decreased in our country and the limitations are removing in every day. We should also be careful in normalization period. This decision also underlines our own commitment and contribution to contain and mitigate the spread of the infection, as per the WHO and Turkish Ministry of Health recommendations.

We are pleased to announce the new calendar of “International Symposium on Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences” (FABA) which will be held on 15-17 September 2021 in Izmir, Turkey.
Also FABA 2021 symposium will be hosted by Ege University Faculty of Fisheries.
